2019 Preview

After a taste of FF1600 action in 2018, Courtney Crone will join BHR for select west coast events in 2019. In her only appearance in the BHR Piper in 2018, Courtney charged to the lead at Laguna Seca, but a sound violation would keep her from taking the victory. Courtney also dominated the 2018 Formula Car Challenge series, winning the championship in the FormulaSpeed class. She finished the year being selected as a candidate for the Team USA Scholarship, the Road to Indy Shootout, and the upcoming W Series. In previous years, Courtney has won in everything from speedway motorcycles to sprint cars. Now, Courtney and the team look to build on 2018, and challenge for wins in what is shaping up to be a competitive field of FF racers. The season’s focus will be on providing maximum seat time in the highly competitive FF class, preparing Courtney for the future opportunities that are sure to come.

Courtney is supported by long time partners Trench Shoring, The Morgan Group, and Myobrace.

The team’s second car will continue to be piloted by Brad Hayes. And a close relationship with fellow Fast Forward/Piper drivers Doug Learned Jr and Manuel Leonardo means that data and feedback from four cars should help all drivers succeed.

The Piper DL7s will be expertly prepared by Fast Forward’s Doug Learned and Doug Learned Jr. The 2018 season led to continued evolution of the cars’ setup and performance, as the team pushed hard for a strong showing at the season ending Runoffs. The learnings from last season will translate well in to 2019, as we look to always challenge for wins.

The season begins February 1-3, at Auto Club Speedway.
